Our purpose in Setraco Nigeria Limited is to meet the needs of Individuals, Private and Public Corporations in Nigeria.

RESOURCES:

Setraco Nigeria Limited has a huge pool of construction equipment, transitional human, material and technological resources.  It is the assurance in itself that Setraco is capable of assuming total project responsibility and of providing a comprehensive project delivery programme which includes design, engineering, construction management, procurement, materials management, logistics and site support services.

PLANNING:

Setraco operates a planning and management system based on Timeline, Microsoft Project and Primavera. The systems encompass the activities of Planning, Engineering, Document Control and Material Control.  These total management packages allow the effective scheduling of all activities in a "real time" environment giving the level of control to allow the effective management of multiple contracts through one facility.

PROJECT ORGANISATION:

Executing and delivering construction projects in remote site locations is the speciality of Setraco, because it has the fully qualified Project Management Personnel, who are experienced and fully authorised to take all decisions independently, within the policies and set guidelines of the Company, in order to deliver the Works on schedule, cost effective and of highest quality possible.

QUALITY ASSURANCE POLICY:

The prime objective of the management of Setraco is to provide services in a manner, which conforms to contractual and regulatory requirements. In order to achieve this objective, it is the policy of Setraco to maintain an efficient Quality Assurance programme on all our Projects.

HEALTH, SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENT POLICY:

It is the company policy to maintain a safe and healthy working environment for all its employees. The Managing Director is ultimately responsible for the implementation of documented Company’s Health Safety and Environment Policy. However through a system of documented working instructions, the responsibility for the physical enforcement of the Health Safety and Environment Policy is delegated to the Project Manager and H.S.E. Manager on the Projects for its successful implementation.

COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT:

Setraco is committed to use a reasonable portion of its income in uplifting the living standards of the Communities in the surrounding areas of the Project. This is achieved through providing certain scholarships for the deserving, recruiting to the maximum possible the locally available man power and constructing certain facilities for the use of Community. Setraco always gives full respect to the Traditional Rulers, Local Customs and do its best to work in harmony with the Communities.

STAFFING POLICY:

The Company’s staffing strategy is based on providing any project with an experienced and technically competent management team consisting of personnel who have worked with the group for some years. Therefore senior management, engineering and administrative staff will be drawn from the company's existing workforce. The same strategy applies to superintendents and supervisors. Skilled as well as un-skilled workforce are always recruited after careful screening from local areas to assist in promotion and developments of the Local Communities and if not available locally, it is transferred from the Company’s current pool of Workforce. All collective agreements for Senior and Junior Staff, concluded between the Government and the NJIC, are immediately implemented.
As these principles and policies have helped the Company to grow steadily over the past 29 years in Nigeria with a reputation as one of the Major Construction Company delivering any Civil Engineering Project on schedule and with utmost quality, the Management enforces these policies strictly and always tries to improve upon, as its experience grows.
